“Jeremy Dreams of Time Machines”

I wrote this song last year for my nephew Jeremy, who was very very young (like all of Zach’s cousins were) when they had to learn how to deal with a very hard fact. In the year after the accident, his mother told me, he kept having dreams about building a time machine and saving Zachary. And then tonight I was talking to my brother about a dream he had recently about the very same thing. Which reminded me of this song. Even though we know we can’t, we all indulge in fantasies of finding a way to go back and fix this. Processing and sharing this stuff is helping a little right now, so I hope you guys don’t mind too much. [FC]
